New Haven, IN - Storm Water BMP Information

The City of New Haven is undergoing renovations to Jury Memorial Pool, parking area, and park structures within Jury Park.  New Haven officials intend to install a rain garden in a highly visible location near the detention basin which serves as the primary drain for the area.  The rain garden will have interpretive signs installed as a means to educate visitors on the importance of water quality and how the rain garden will help achieve pollutant reductions.  Also being considered for this area is porous sidewalks and parking spaces along with curb cuts in the parking lot islands.  These additional BMPs will further reduce the pollutants entering the stormwater system.
